Team Sweden’s automotive delegation to Italy, led by HRH Prince Daniel, delivered a focused programme across Turin and Motor Valley, reinforcing Sweden-Italy collaboration and Europe’s competitiveness.
In Turin, meetings with Iveco Group centred on electrification, connectivity and software-defined vehicles, including new opportunities in data monetisation. At Stellantis’ Battery Technology Hub, discussions focused on next-generation batteries, followed by targeted B2B meetings. A seminar at Politecnico di Torino highlighted the need for stronger cross-border partnerships to maintain Europe’s edge.
Key takeaway: Europe remains strong in engineering and innovation, but future competitiveness depends on deeper collaboration. Sweden and Italy are well aligned to lead this.
The programme concluded in Bologna with visits to Ducati and Lamborghini. While showcasing world-class engineering and craftsmanship, discussions focused on the industry’s transformation and future collaboration opportunities between Swedish and Italian players.
Team Sweden now moves from dialogue to execution, with clear potential to deepen partnerships and drive joint innovation.
