The Nordics awarded gold at ExpoLympics for outstanding collaboration at Wold Expo 2025 Osaka

The joint Nordic Pavilion has been awarded the prestigious ExpoLympics Gold, recognizing the exceptional collaboration, creativity, and innovation demonstrated by Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway, and Sweden in their shared participation at World Expo 2025 Osaka.

The ExpoLympics competition celebrates the spirit of the World Expo by honouring outstanding achievements among participating countries. In this year’s pre-Expo edition, the Nordic partners claimed the top prize, the Gold Awar, for their unified and forward-thinking approach to showcasing Nordic values on the global stage.

The jury praised the Nordic Pavilion for its seamless integration of design, communication, and sustainability embodying the theme “Nordic Co-operation for a Sustainable Future.” Through close collaboration between five countries, the pavilion highlights how openness, equality, and innovation can drive green transformation and inspire international partnerships.

The recognition reinforces the Nordics’ position as frontrunners in sustainable development and creative diplomacy. It also illustrates how collaboration between national agencies, design teams, and public-private partners can amplify the Nordic message of trust, transparency, and shared responsibility. Values that remain at the heart of Team Sweden’s international engagement.
