"Team Sweden KKB" relaunched to strengthen exports of Sweden’s cultural and creative industries
The Swedish Institute has relaunched Team Sweden KKB, a collaborative initiative aimed at boosting international growth and export opportunities for Sweden’s cultural and creative industries (kulturella och kreativa branscher).
22 Oct, 2025
The constellation gathers around 20 representatives from government agencies and industry associations with a shared focus on strengthening Sweden’s global position within sectors such as design, music, film, games, fashion and literature.
According to the Swedish Institute’s Director-General Madeleine Sjöstedt, Sweden's cultural and creative industries generate an impressive SEK 650 billion annually. Yet international awareness of Swedish creative companies remains limited. While Sweden is globally recognised for good governance and sustainability, its creative excellence is less visible. The relaunch of Team Sweden KKB is therefore designed to change that, to make Swedish creativity and innovation a stronger part of Sweden’s global identity and trade promotion efforts.
Under the Team Sweden umbrella, the KKB constellation will serve as a coordination forum to align strategies, share insights, and identify concrete measures to strengthen export support for creative businesses, particularly small and medium-sized enterprises.
Through the relaunch of Team Sweden KKB, Sweden takes another step toward building a more coherent and business-oriented promotion system, ensuring that creativity, innovation and culture continue to drive Swedish competitiveness and visibility worldwide.
