Sweden showcases innovation & collaboration as Guest Country at China’s largest trade fair

At the China International Import Expo (CIIE) 2025 in Shanghai, 5–10 November, Sweden is highlighted as one of six Guest Countries of Honour. With a national pavilion, a Swedish minister-led delegation and strong business participation across key sectors, Sweden marks its strongest showing yet at China’s largest import fair.

CIIE 2025 gathers record-breaking international participation, with ministers from 44 countries attending, and thousands of companies showcasing global trade and innovation. Sweden’s 288 m² national pavilion features 19 participating companies and highlights Sweden's core values; creativity, collaboration, and reliability, under the theme “Together -, Let’s pioneer the possible.”

The pavilion and its partners, including gold sponsors Epiroc, Scania, SKF and Volvo Cars, present Swedish solutions and innovations within green energy, life science, creative industries, and sustainable consumer goods. A series of thematic activities under banners such as Try Swedish, Pioneer the Possible, and Invest in Sweden further strengthen Sweden’s image as a trusted and forward-looking business partner.

In total, around 40 Swedish companies are participating at this year’s CIIE, demonstrating Sweden’s diverse strengths in industry, innovation, and sustainable development.

With Sweden as a Guest Country of Honour, this year’s CIIE underscores the growing collaboration between Sweden and China and highlights the pioneering role of Swedish companies in driving sustainable solutions worldwide.
