A Team Sweden high-level business delegation to South Korea has concluded – and with it, a new chapter in the partnership between Sweden and one of Asia’s most future-focused economies.

The high-level business delegation to South Korea has successfully concluded, marking a new milestone in the longstanding partnership between Sweden and one of Asia’s most dynamic and future-oriented economies.
Joined by Her Royal Highness Crown Princess Victoria and Prince Daniel of Sweden, alongside Minister for Foreign Trade Maria Malmer Stenergard and Minister for Infrastructure Andreas Carlson, the visit gathered Swedish and Korean stakeholders across government, academia, and business to deepen collaboration in sustainability, advanced technology, and innovation.
Throughout the week, the delegation participated in high-level meetings, company visits, and roundtable discussions exploring new pathways for green transition and industrial transformation. A central outcome of the visit was the signing of four strategic collaboration agreements, underscoring Sweden’s commitment to driving joint innovation and investment:
- RISE Research Institutes of Sweden – Korea Institute of Energy Technology (KENTECH) – Naju City
- Hitachi Energy – HD Hyundai Electric
- MunmuBaram – SK oceanplant
- Volvo Trucks – Pulmuone – Samsung SDI : marking the first-ever sale of an electric truck in Korea.
These agreements reflect the strength and potential of Swedish–Korean cooperation in fields such as renewable energy, electrification, and sustainable manufacturing.
The visit demonstrated the continued strength of Team Sweden collaboration, bringing together government and business to accelerate innovation and position Sweden as a key partner in South Korea’s sustainable growth journey.
