Growing opportunities for Swedish companies in Angola
A high‑level Team Sweden delegation visited Angola in February to explore new openings for Swedish companies in one of Southern Africa’s most dynamic markets.

The programme focused on identifying areas where Swedish solutions can support Angola’s ambitions for long‑term, sustainable development.
Meetings with key ministries highlighted opportunities across several strategic sectors, including energy transition, transport and mobility, ICT, health solutions and the development of local value chains. A clear message emerged: Angola is actively seeking innovative, reliable partners, and Swedish companies are well positioned to contribute.
A Team Sweden business lunch brought Swedish and Angolan companies together for discussions on commercial cooperation. The programme also included a visit to a newly inaugurated assembly plant, showcasing how collaboration between Swedish and Angolan industry can strengthen local production capacity and skills development.
Looking ahead, further engagement is being explored, including coordinated Swedish participation at FILDA 2026 and the upcoming EU–Angola Business Forum.
